The Tooth Fairy...

Needle Felted Tooth Fairy Pillow

Didn't come last night... Mama was not feeling so hot and went to bed at 7:00 and was informed by a long faced Dear Daughter this morning that somehow the Tooth Fairy failed to make her magical appearance.  AHEM.  I mean, I know Mama is not supposed to get sick, but is it really possible for the Tooth Fairy to be sick on the very same night?  And on the off chance that the Tooth Fairy is too sick to rise from her tiny little fairy bed, don't you think the Tooth Fairies' husband could have helped her out for just one night?  I'm sure he would make a handsome and capable replacement... just sayin'...

Mr. Tooth Fairy

Our daughter figured it out before the last tooth came out and the tooth fairy was very forgetful in our house. Daddy made up for it and handed his girl a $20.00 bill ;) A $20.00 bill can work miracles!

Figured what out, Judy? I have absolutely NO idea what you're talking about... ;)

Awww...yes, the tooth fairy's husband could have helped out, I have to say he looks really good as a replacement:):)

My single greatest failing as a parent is that I forget the tooth fairy EVERY SINGLE TIME. I used to pretend the money had fallen behind the bed but now it's a family joke that when the tooth fairy comes, she leaves the money in my wallet.

So, so very funny.

Our toothfairy was the best because in the dark, a $1 and $10 look very similar, so I was a lucky little girl. hehe.

Hmmm, the tooth fairy must have gotten married since she was coming to our house! And in view of fairy equality, yes, Mr. TF should absolutely help out! ; )

(and this tooth fairy still has all those teeth, each child's in their own box -- grosses my grown kids out!!)

Sarah, I've been told that our tooth fairy still has all my children's teeth in a little box somewhere... at least that's what I've been told. ;)

I love the needle felted tooth fairy! It's been so long since my kids lost their teeth, I can't remember what the tooth fairy looks like. I'm sure she could use a night off now and then, don't you think so?!

Awwww - so sad! I think MR TF ought to help out once in a while ;O)

I so relate to this. The Tooth Fairy who frequents my house has a poor sense of direction and often gets waylaid by enamel bazaars and gingivitis conventions. The children understand she is a bit ditzy and are quite forgiving, particularly since she pays well beyond going market prices. :-)

Good news... Mr. Tooth Fairy appears to have stepped up to the task last night!

I had a similar experience with the tooth fairy. The first time my (first) daughter lost a tooth - the tooth fairy didn't know to come to our house - being new on the route and all. But she felt so badly about it that she left my daughter $1 (instead of the $0.25 she used to leave me). I guess the tooth fairy felt so good about leaving such a large gift that she left the same amount for all the other teeth - for all three of my children (not wanting to show any kind of favoritism). Still - she got lost quiet often in trying to find my house - but she always made up for it!

I love Mr. Tooth Fairy! My 3 year old is getting his first tooth fairy visit tonight (injured tooth pulled this morning). Oh, and if you ever need a good resource on taking care of kids' teeth, I've found this Mom's Guide to be really useful: http://www.1dental.com/moms-guide/. Thanks for sharing this. Gives me a good idea for my little guy!

Hmm... That Mr. Tooth Fairy thing seems to be a good idea. There may be some who would add a little spice to that by adding a cutout of The Rock's face instead. Remember that movie? Hahaha!
