Destruction Day Two...
This renovating business is definitely NOT for the faint of heart... as you can see, half my house is piled in one room and the rest of the house looks like the Tasmanian Devil has taken up residence. Oh, and I have a cold which works really well with the vast quantities of dust and debris they are generating. GOOD TIMES.
Note the proximity of the couch and buffet to the goop they had to use to level out the floor... I was hovering around like a freaking little fruit fly on a rotting banana trying to make sure they didn't slop goo all over my pretty things, but those scruffy floor guys just didn't seem to have a concern in the world. I'm sure they were talking about me in Spanish... too bad I didn't pay more attention in my college Spanish classes.
The stairs are prepped and ready... SO thrilled to get that nasty carpet out of my house. The floor crew asked me if I wanted to KEEP the carpet for anything. I'm sure you probably heard me laughing wherever you are... EWWW, ICK, GRODY, NOOOOOOOOO, thank you.
On a brighter note... since I am in serious need of a diversion from the chaos surrounding me and am SO CLOSE to 200 followers (you faithful followers ROCK), I am taking part in this cool little blog hop today.
Go check it out and find some new virtual friends and followers!

I can't wait to see what you do with the floors. Are you getting hardwood?
Paige... yep! Wood on the stairs and in the formals. SO excited, but what a painful process!
Keep your eyes on the prize! It will look great.
Just think how great it's gonna look when it's all done!
Dropping in from FMBT to return your follow...Hope you hit 200 today!
XO
Can't wait to see it all finished. And I know what you mean about "hovering." Sometimes, when people are doing work in my apartment (painting, etc.) I just have to go in another room because it can be stressful having them work so near my treasured belongings!
You made me laugh with your comment about the floor guys asking if you wanted to keep the old carpet.
I'm sure it will all be worth in in the end.
I know you will be so relieved when it's done! I thought I heard someone laughing hysterically...
I understand your pain. We've laid carpet and floor. Now working my way through painting every room.
Thanks for stopping by Yankee Texan Mom. Now following you back and looking forward to it!

They thought you might want to keep the carpet for something? Crazy! :) But I guess that confirms you're not a hoarder... ;)
I can't wait to see how it looks when it's all done! The mess will be worth it, trust me. ;)
Thanks for playing along - and I'm following you now, so you only need 3 more to reach 200! WooHoo! :)
