Sweet Son and his BFF just took off on their first BIG ADVENTURE... an hour and a half drive to the beach to spend the day hanging out with their toes in the sand and their souls in the surf. Letting them go on the BIG ADVENTURE was a BIG DECISION for the parental units... but we have to let go sometime, and they ARE so convincingly cute. Now the mama's are holding their breath until that little blue Murano pulls back in the driveway tonight... praying they make it back in one piece and that my credit card doesn't end up in the bottom of the deep blue sea.

Aw, they'll be fine, mommy! I wish I could spend my day that way, too!
Wait, I meant at the ocean, not worrying all day about my teenager!
Oh you are brave! I haven't gotten there yet - mine are too young!
I remember those days well - although we live 1 mile away from the beach, my son and his friends liked to travel 3 hours south to catch a better swell. Then my son traveled abroad last year and 3 hours away seemed awfully close :)
You never stop worrying!!
Thank you for featuring my surfer diptych!
xo - another surfers mom
Loved that surfer diptych!
Hang Ten and Cowabunga - ah sweet, sweet youth.
I wish I was that close to the beach. Hope they have fun! Great wood blocks - nice touch to your post! {:-D
Oh, I feel for you....I have a tough enough time thinking of what it WILL be like....
Love the prints!
jealous of the beach!! i haven't been to the beach in a really really long time. i would love to live closer to an ocean, or large body of water. something about it just is so very relaxing!
That made me nervous just reading it! My son is still a few years away from driving and a little freedom, but I understand exactly how you felt! Hope they are home now, safe and sound. :)

Silly me, I'm already following. lol!
Your credit card is probably safer at the bottom of the sea than in the teenager's hands :)
Ha ha Penny! They made it home safe, sound, and exhausted... 8:30 and he's headed to bed!
Glad they came home safe! Thanks for sharing the beautiful art!
I remember how hard it was to let my son go to the park ACROSS THE STREET a couple years ago. I'm dreading the day he can drive! LOL!
