Sweet Son and his BFF were inducted into the National Honor Society last night... watching them walk across that big stage all dressed up it hit me HARD that they truly are young men now. I know it is such a ridiculous cliche, but for those of you with little ones, do yourself a favor and DON'T BLINK. Holy cow, these two man children were just in first grade LAST YEAR. I swear. Chubby cheeks and crooked teeth are long gone and now we have these wonderful smart, funny, handsome, kind MEN.
Why on earth did I blink?
They are still not quite finished, not quite ready to release into the big, wide world... but they are so close, it nearly breaks this mama's heart. A heart that really couldn't be any prouder of a couple of chubby cheeked little boys...

Wow, what good looking young men...yes, indeed they do grow up in a blink of an eye, don't they?
Very Handsome you should be a proud Momma :)
Mine are so little now, but occasionally I catch glimpses of what my oldest is becoming as he grows and I have to catch my breath. I'll try not to blink! :)
So sweet - I love to read your blog!
As a fellow National Honor Society member I am proud too of your boys! I agree... don't blink :o) childhood flashes past all to quickly.
So true! My oldest turns 30 this year, and my baby turns 24. I've blinked too many times!
I am at the opposite end...I have 4 girls under the age of 6. I'm trying not to blink! Although I do still look forward to bedtimes :p
Aw, mommy! I can't imagine my girls being teenagers, but I know it will sneak up on me!
They're so handsome. :)
You are so right about the blink of an eye and they're grown. There is a song about that, have you heard it? "Turn around, turn around, turn around and she's a young wife with a child of her own." (or something like that, lol)
What a pair of handsome young men.
I know how proud you are and I know how fast they grow up! And it's so hard to let go...
Oh CONGRATS!!! I feel your pain -my oldest son is now officially a teenager - EEK!!! It happens so fast!
What a great Sunday's Best! (I have 4 boys...NEVER GROW UP...is my fave saying)
Oh my goodness! I know exactly how you feel. Mine are still little, but I feel the same way. The time just goes too fast.
Congratulations to those two boys! They looked so handsome on their special day.
