How often do you see THIS rolling through your neighborhood?
HLSR Trail Riders |
Cook-Off that last year was attended by 221,300 hungry Texans.
The Trail Riders come from all over Texas and make their way through our neighborhood on their way to get the party started. Don't be fooled, I am NO country girl, but I LOVE me some Rodeo! It is a people watching, junk food, margarita fueled fest like no other... so expect some Rodeo updates over the next month. Headed to the Cook-Off on Saturday night, which requires an outfit that's a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll... and now, I must go get my inner Cowgirl on!

Hey Sissy,
Cute post. I love the outfit. Is this yours to wear to the cookoff? If so, you will look very uptown, cowgirl like. By the way, I will have to post about "Mule Day" in Columbia, coming up in about a month.
Love ya girl.
No, this is my fantasy outfit! HA! I have something similar, but not nearly as uptown... :)
Well as of this morning I have a new pair of boots since my 11 year old put her boots I bought at Cavender's on and guess what?? Too small, but they fit Mommy :) Love those boots that you found one day I am going to plunk down the big bucks for a custom made pair like that; might be when I am a grandma put who cares?
I would so rock that shirt!!
You get on with your inner cowgirl Aunt Kelly! I'm going to buy my boots this weekend! Looking at some Spring Break dates, will call ya soon! I'm ready for some people watchin' and country dancin' too! Yee Haw and Happy Friday!
Haha, that sounds too fun. I've never been to a rodeo even though I grew up in the right area for it.
Chicago's a lot different, I see.
That sounds so fun. There is a rodeo in NJ called the Cowtown Rodeo, we keep meaning to go. Those boots are the bomb, btw.
Oh I'm drooling at the thought of all that fun!! WoW ! I'm adding that to my Bucket list!
Rodeos are so cool. My sister's kids have been heavily involved in rodeo since they were itty bitty, travelling all over the country. Now her oldest is in the professional rodeo circuit.
2.2 million visitors? Wow, that's alot of cowboys!
