I wonder if the folks who sell those red round imposters in the grocery store they call tomatoes have ever tasted one of these homegrown goodies, because if they have I'm thinking they would have to call them something else... like cardboard.

Great finds!!!! I could really go for a tomato, mayo and cracked black pepper sandwich now!!! Toasted of course. :)
There is nothing in this world like a homegrown tomato!
I still have some of those old vintage tomato pin cushions! With pins in them!
Oh I could soooo go for the same tomato/bread/mayo I'd even shove some basil in there... HEAVEN....
I've always hated tomatoes and I'm just now learning to enjoy them as an adult.
Cute tomatoes!! So many of mine are rotting. :(
You're right about the tomatoes. And the same holds true for strawberries - a bright red colour doesn't necessarily mean they taste better. In fact, it's often just the opposite.
Now I'm craving some bruschetta! :)
Mmmm. And when they're still warm from the sun--the best.
You're absolutely right. Store bought tomatoes are just flavorless. Now I want one!!
MM, theres nothing better than a good tomato sandwich on toast.
My mom has one of those pincushions, So cute
